This module will introduce the basic communication skills which increase care navigation quality of interactions with both clients and members of the health team. Professionalism and establishing personal boundaries during interactions with clients will be stressed. Also included is a unit on Change Theory and one on Documentation expectations in the workplace.
Competencies
Competencies – Upon completion of the module the student will be able to:
- Use communication methods to build professional relationships and positive interactions across multiple cultures and demographics
- Use knowledge of one’s own roles and other care team roles to maintain professional boundaries and responsibilities
