Putting It All Together

Learning Objectives:

  • Work with a team to create a professionalism project for presentation
  • Reflect on relevance of professionalism topics and create self-regulating responses
  • Create an action plan for future personal professional development

The word document for mods 10 & 11 contains only these instructions for the teacher, no student workbook content.

Teaching Points – 4 hours – transition from module
We have discussed many elements of professionalism in the past 9 classes.  Today, we begin the student presentations assigned to review that content and discuss the implications to personal professional development.

Begin presentations to be continued during the next class session.

Consider the following in assessing the presentations:

  • Relevance to content
  • How well content was depicted and included
  • Presenter understanding of content
  • Participation of all group members in presentation
  • Creativity
  • Quality of debrief
  • Response of other students class to presentation
  • Other

Final Wrap Up:

Instructor makes a closing presentation and does a final round robin for the following questions:

1)      What worked for you during this class?

2)      What could have worked better?

3)      What would you tell others about this course?

Note:  If time is not available for round robin, print the questions and ask students to complete and turn in before end of class.

Encourage honesty.  Record answers and compile for final course evaluation.  Use input to make revisions in the future.
