Course Description:

The Physiological Actions of Alcohol and Drugs course provides information on the physical impact and the response of the human body to alcohol and other drugs of abuse. The fundamentals of pharmacokinetics, neurological functions and current research supporting effective prevention, intervention, and treatment included. Concepts and terminology for working on a professional multi-disciplinary treatment team explored.
