To Compute a Confidence Interval for β

  1. Input the data into two lists (one list for the x-values and one for the y-values).
  2. Press STAT.
  3. Press the right arrow key to scroll over to the TESTS submenu.
  4. Press the down arrow key to scroll down until LinRegTInt is highlighted and press ENTER.
  5. Select your x list and y list (the two lists where your data are stored).
  6. Select the frequency (usually 1).
  7. Input your confidence level, formatted as a decimal.
  8. Highlight the word Calculate and press ENTER.
  9. The calculator should now display the desired confidence interval.
