This module revisits the theme of the whole client. The focus is on selected aspects of health and navigation to assist and prepare clients to understand their personal profile, including oral health, cultural considerations, and personal characteristics. Also included are an overview of Population Health and information related to stereotypes.
Competencies
Upon completion of the module the student will be able to:
- Use communication methods to build professional relationships and positive interactions across multiple cultures and demographics
- Apply knowledge of diverse demographics and culture to interact sensitively and decrease barriers to care
- Apply knowledge of chronic disease, end of life, and population management to the selection of resources and navigation of care
